Bruce Mebine

Bruce began taking fencing lessons from Hans Halberstadt when he was 8 years old. Now, over 55 years later, he is still fencing at Halberstadt Fencers' Club. He was on the fencing team at Lincoln High School in San Francisco and won the individual championship in foil during his senior year. At that time, he switched to sabre, which is still his weapon of choice today. His past accomplishments include winning the NorCal Sabre Championships 14 times, the Pacific Coast Sabre Championship once, and being ranked 13th in the country in sabre in 1984. He has been giving individual lessons in sabre over the last 15 years.
